Welcome to Pixie Park: A Marin Tradition for Over 70 Years! Nestled among the redwoods at the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, California, Pixie Park is a volunteer-run cooperative playground created especially for children ages six and younger. Pixie Park is operated by Pixie Parents, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving charitable and educational purposes. We provide a safe and nurturing outdoor environment where young children can explore nature, learn through play, develop confidence, and build physical and social-emotional skills. Our MissionTo create and maintain a safe outdoor playground where children 6 years and younger can explore nature, develop confidence, and thrive in a nurturing and supportive community. Everyone Is WelcomePixie Park serves young children, their families, and caregivers throughout our community. On this website, “members” means families and caregivers who enroll to participate in Pixie Park’s programs and cooperative operations. Participating families support our nonprofit mission through membership dues, volunteer service, and community involvement. Membership does not confer ownership of the park or a financial interest in the organization. Membership is available to families who meet the park’s age and safety requirements. Reduced-fee and no-fee memberships are available based on financial need. If cost would prevent your family from participating, please contact membership@pixiepark.org for a confidential conversation. Community members are also invited to experience Pixie Park through our monthly open houses and designated public programs and events. Learning, Play, and CommunityLearning Through Play Our natural setting and age-appropriate play spaces encourage imagination, movement, sensory exploration, cooperation, and connection with nature. A Safe Environment Our fully enclosed playground is designed specifically for very young children. A secure gate and access code help participating families maintain a safe and appropriately controlled environment. Outdoor Exploration From imaginative play structures and classic swings to shaded gathering spaces and majestic redwoods, every part of the park invites children to explore, move, discover, and grow. Community Connections Parents, grandparents, and caregivers build supportive relationships while children learn and play together. Volunteer Stewardship Participating families help care for the playground and support educational programs, community events, outreach, and improvements that further our charitable mission. Programs and Celebrations Music, seasonal celebrations, special activities, and community gatherings create joyful learning experiences and lasting connections for young children and their families.
